Locks of Love

After 4 1/2 years and only 1 haircut, we decided it was time to get Emma's hair cut and not just a trim this time!  We have heard about Locks of Love and know people that have donated hair before and we thought it would be a great thing to do with Emma's hair.  The minimum you have to get cut off is 10 inches...yikes!  So, I scheduled an appointment and off we went to see Courtney at InStyle Hair Salon in Waterford.

Emma's First Haircut

We decided that it was finally time to take Emma to get her very first haircut. She is, in fact, almost 4 years old now and has never had a single hair on her head cut before. It was very hard for me to say good-bye to those cute little curls!

We found a place out in Avalon called Sharkey's Cut for Kids! It was a cute little place where kids could go to get hair cuts and manicures all while watching a movie of their choice!

There are all those curls:( She ended up getting 4 inches cut off, but by the time it was all over you couldn't really tell that much was gone!!

Making Christmas Cookies for Santa

Emma wanted to make cookies for Santa so we got some sugar cookie dough and sprinkles and went to town.

Clearwater Beach

Doug, Mom, Emma and I went to Clearwater Beach yesterday for a couple of hours. Emma got a new bucket and shovel from Grandma so we had to go and try it out! She also got a new bathing suit from Aunt Jennifer that Abby used to wear. She wasn't sure about her belly showing at first, but she got used to it.

Lowry Park Zoo

Yesterday we went to the Lowry Park Zoo. We had gone once before, but Emma was too small to really enjoy it. This time she really liked looking at all the animals, especially the goats. She had so much fun in their pin that we didn't think she was ever going to come out.
