Philippines 3/7 - 4/16/09

Here are some pictures from Doug's trip to the Philippines in March. I can't tell you what most of it is, but I wanted to share some with you.

I do know that this is the staff at the office. Steven and Doug look out of place in this picture!

Stellan

Here's another one to pray for. Baby Stellan is in the hospital and they don't know if he will ever go home with his parents. I don't know these people, I have just read some of her blog before. She almost lost Stellan while she was pregnant with him, but he was born a healthy baby boy.

If you have a minute, please visit this site. This is a lady who went to the church I went to growing up. She is 38 years old and is dying of cancer. She has the best testimony and is truly an inspiration of a Godly woman. Please lift her and her family up in prayer.

The Place Where Dreams Come True!!

5 years ago Doug and I were married. We decided to spend our anniversary this year at Disney! My uncle Tommy was able to get us a discount at a resort and was able to get us into the park 2 days (THANK YOU TOMMY!!!). Here are a few pictures of our room and just random shots. Doug couldn't find the camera charger and the battery was dying so we didn't take very many pictures (had to save the battery).

We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort...it was really nice. Our room was Finding Nemo theme!

We ate dinner Friday night at the California Grille on top of the Contemporary Resort. It was SO good and the view was pretty nice.

And here is Doug's anniversary present...he has been wanting this ring for a while now!!

When we checked in at the hotel, they gave us Happy Anniversary pins to wear. I made Doug wear it to dinner!! He hated it!!

He's There!

Doug called around 6:15 and he had arrived safely in the Philippines. He said he had been at the hotel for about 10 minutes. Their flight got in an hour early. I only talked to him for a few minutes. He doesn't have a phone to use over there yet so he had to use the hotel phone which is way expensive.

Pray for Doug

Doug left at noon today and headed to Dallas only to turn around and head to Vancouver to catch a flight to the Philippines. He is mid-air right now to Vancouver. He will be leaving in a couple of hours for the Philippines. He will arrive Sunday night at 6pm our time (Monday morning 6am in the Philippines). Please pray that he has a safe flight tonight and that he has a safe and productive trip while he is there. Emma and I will miss him while he is gone and can't wait for him to come home on the 16th!
