Kayleigh Anne Freeman

I realize this may be very hard to read or look at, but it makes me, myself, appreciate everything just a little bit more. This sweet baby girl, Kayleigh, was born 3 months early and weighed only 1 lb. She had survived for the last 11 months and the day after Mother's Day went home to be with the Lord. It is hard to read and not question God on why He would take this sweet girl, but He has promised that He will never give us more than we can handle.
Say a quick prayer for these people!

BBQ Time

On Saturday we went to dinner at my cousin's house. Kristan and Stephen were nice enough to open up their home and have all the family over for a BBQ.

Emma was consumed by their dog Paxton. She stood at the door and just kept saying "dog" over and over and over again. She was having fun teasing her!! Sorry Paxton!!

Easter in South Carolina

We went to Florence, SC this past weekend to see Tim and Kayla and their kids. We had a great time just relaxing, playing guitar hero, cards, and eating!

Fishing

While Doug's Dad was here, the guys decided to go deep sea fishing. It didn't work out (the first time) so they went out to the pier and fished for a little while. Here are just a couple shots from their day.

Here's another one to pray for. Baby Stellan is in the hospital and they don't know if he will ever go home with his parents. I don't know these people, I have just read some of her blog before. She almost lost Stellan while she was pregnant with him, but he was born a healthy baby boy.

He Actually Did It!

Doug woke up this morning and said he had finally talked himself into doing it...he was going to shave his head. If you know him, this is something he has been struggling with for a while now. He has alapecia (I know that isn't how it is spelled, but I am tired and want to go to bed so I am too lazy to look up the spelling right now) and has spots of hair missing on his head. He has been going to the Dr. for over a year getting shots in his head and they just don't seem to be doing the trick. So, I told him if that is what he wanted to do, I would support his decision. He marched straight into the bathroom and started buzzing away! I helped a little with the scissors. He had to call in reinforcements though. Brad has a professional razor so he brought that over for Doug to use. The finished "product" is in the last picture. Brace yourselves...he looks very "DIFFERENT"...

Happy Early Anniversary to me!!!

Doug let me buy my anniversary present today. I told him if he let me get this he wouldn't have to go through the trouble of finding anything for me! I can't wait to get it and start using it (Doug thinks I never will)!! I will prove him wrong!!!!!

The Bachelor

WOW!! I know, I know...The Bachelor is silly but I have been sucked in and can't help but watch. I was shocked at the finale show when Jason rejected Molly, proposed to Melissa, broke up with Melissa on TV (I know it was in his contract, but still, OUCH), and then asked Molly for another chance. This will be talked about for a while!

I am so excited that Jillian is the next Bachelorette! She was my favorite!!! I can't wait for it to come on.

Stephanie definitely was my second choice for the Bachelorette! She is a sweetheart!!

Our Trip to Tampa

Doug's company has a convention in Tampa this week so Emma and I are coming along for the trip. We get to stay at the Marriott in downtown Tampa and my mom is going to come for a few days to keep us company while Doug is working. We decided to head to the Lowry Park Zoo on Sunday since we couldn't check into the hotel until late in the afternoon. This is the second time Emma has been to the zoo but she was a little too young the first time we went. I think she had a better time this go round. Here are just some of the pictures from our day.

Saturday Morning Outing

This morning we got up and decided to go to the Townhouse for breakfast. After breakfast we thought it would be fun to go and feed some ducks that live nearby. We stopped at Publix and bought a loaf of bread and headed to the park. The ducks didn't really want anything to do with us. There was one that came up and ate a few pieces and then swam away.

Emma wouldn't throw her bread...she held on to it for dear life!

There was a playground by the pond so we decided to go play for a little while. Emma loved the merry go round and the swings.

After the park, we picked up Brad and Amanda and headed to the mall to meet my mom and Bob.

Doug bought an ice cream cone and Emma LOVED it! She had it all over her.

She wouldn't actually lick it...she just stuck out her tongue and Doug put the ice cream on it!
