Brevard Zoo

We decided to take the kids to The Brevard Zoo because we had heard good things about it. While it was a nice zoo, we still very much prefer The Lowry Park Zoo! Anyways, the kids had a good time seeing the animals and it turned out to be a nice day overall!!

This is a naked mole rat...I thought he was dead, but then he rolled over right after I took the picture. Look at those teeth!!

First Day of Preschool

It is SO hard for me to believe that my little girl is old enough to be starting Preschool! Tuesday, August 23, 2011 Emma attended her first day of school. We went on Monday to the Orientation and met with the teacher, Mrs. Mayse, and then with the Director of the school, Mrs. Chambley. She is attending First Years Preschool at First Baptist Church of Oviedo.

Tuesday came and Emma got up and dressed with no problem. We then drove to school and we got out and Dylan and I walked her to her class. She gave me a kiss, I told her we would see her later and all she said in return was "Bye!" No tears or anything!! I was very pleased about that. The only time I teared up was when Dylan and I were walking to the car and I asked him what we were going to do that morning without Sissy. That made me a little it emotional, but I was able to hold it together!!

Yes, I took a picture of her outfit the night before!! Isn't it cute...I got it from a consignment store!!

Doug laughed at me cause I took a picture of her lunch!! I expected it to come back just like this, minus the juicebox, but she actually ate her sandwich! I was so proud of her!!

I have been slacking off on keeping my blog up to date. I am going to try to do better, but I am not making any promises. I have been addicted lately to checking out other people's blogs and getting some really cute craft and recipe ideas. I hope to be able to make some of those and then hopefully share them on here. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Emma's First Haircut

We decided that it was finally time to take Emma to get her very first haircut. She is, in fact, almost 4 years old now and has never had a single hair on her head cut before. It was very hard for me to say good-bye to those cute little curls!

We found a place out in Avalon called Sharkey's Cut for Kids! It was a cute little place where kids could go to get hair cuts and manicures all while watching a movie of their choice!
