Family Reunion North Carolina 2008

We went to North Carolina October 23-26, 2008 for the Corbett Family Reunion. We had a really good time seeing family and eating lots of BBQ!!

This is Aunt Burdette's house. This is the first house Mema and Pop lived in once they got married.

We were in Wilson's Mills, NC. That is in Johnston County (I only say the county because I am partial of that name!!).

We had the reunion at the Johnston County Wildlife Club.

Tabitha's Wedding

Today was my Uncle Tommy's birthday and my friend Dotti's birthday. Happy Birthday to both of you!!

Today, we also went to my cousin Tabitha's wedding. She looked beautiful and it was a very nice wedding. She had a fall theme and her bridesmaids carried pumpkins down the aisle. It was pretty neat.

First Birthday Party

We had Emma's First Birthday party today, Sunday, October 5th. We had almost 40 people there. It was great to see everyone and be able to spend some time together.

This is a frame that I made for Emma. It is for every month of her first year of life. My Dad and Stepmom bought it for us before Emma was born. It turned out to be a really good idea.

This is the cake that Emma got to destroy. As you will see below she did a fairly good job of it.

She rubbed it all in her eye. I had to put her in the bath to clean her off and she had a total fit. She must have enjoyed being covered in sugar.

Thanks to everyone who came and made this day really special. I know Emma will never remember it, but Doug and I will.

I can't believe that Emma is 1 today. It doesn't seem like I was in the hospital a year ago today. It has been the best year ever watching her grow. She is walking now and has eight teeth. We are having her birthday party on Sunday so be on the lookout for more pictures soon.
